Top 10 Things To Do While Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is nature's way to get mom to put her feet up!
1. Above all else, coo, sing and talk to your baby and just soak up the awesomeness that is what you anxiously awaited a long time for. Daydream about what he'll look like as he grows, the places you want to show him and what he'll be when he grows up.
2. Listen to music - There's nothing more relaxing than listening to some soothing music and relaxing with your feet up while your little one nurses. My son LOVES his Rockabye Baby Lullaby's . Can you believe they made lullabyes from the likes of Guns 'n Roses and the Rolling Stones?
3. Read all of those books you have sitting on your night stand that you were too exhausted to read. Or better yet, get a Kindle Wireless Reading Device
(that's on my birthday list!). You can download bestsellers so much cheaper AND if your eyes are too tired to read, they turn into audio books!
4. Write a letter to your little one - or even a bunch of little notes to put into a time capsule
or their baby book
to be read years down the road. Tell her how you felt when you were expecting her, when you saw her for the first time and what you wish for her future. Go ahead, be as gushy as you want to be. Heck, I'm tearing up just writing this.
5. Watch an old movie - and by that I don't mean Sixteen Candles, I mean an OLD movie, a classic movie that you've always heard of but have never seen before like Breakfast at Tiffany's
or Casablanca .
6. Fill in her baby book
- It's so hard to find the time to do this and if you think you'll remember every little detail, trust me, you won't. My daughter is 2 and going through it the second time around with my son, I think back to how she was and it's shocking how much slips away from memory.
7. Email photos - no, not to friends or family but to your local store that accepts photos through their website. They'll print them for you, you just pick them up and do like they did in the olden days... put them in a photo album! That's the curse of the digital camera, they're so easy to use. We download the pictures onto our computers and there they sit. And just think if some virus got to your computer and wiped out all of your pictures, it would be devistating. This way, you have a beautiful photo album
of your favorite pictures to show off!
8. Make a baby website - There are lots of great websites that you can use to dedicate just to your love bug. My personal favourite is www.aboutmybaby.com, just upload photos and baby's information like when that first tooth pops up! So fabulous for us since we have a lot of family that is far away and the kiddies grow so fast, this way they can keep up!
9. Play an old fashioned board game with your older kids. You know you're dying to play Candyland
again.
10. Go for a walk - WHAT? Can I do that while breastfeeding? Of course you can! There are many slings and wraps you can use to
breastfeed your baby
in. The fresh air is not only good for the baby but you'll be surprised how it can re-charge your batteries too!
Nursing does not diminish the beauty of a woman's breasts; it enhances their charm by making them look lived in and happy.

What am I reading?
The Catcher in the Rye:
I was probably assigned this book in high school and never read it but thought it was a must read before I die so I'm 1/4 of the way into it and am enjoying it so far!
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - My boss just finished reading this book and would not stop raving about it. I have known the man for 5 years and he's NEVER suggested that I read a book so this one has to be good and is sitting on my night stand to read next!
The Twilight Saga:
Yep, I'm one of the obsessed. I have read the series three times and now keep the books handy in case I want to read one of my favorite parts.
Andrew's Loose Tooth:
I have read this book every day for the past two weeks to my 2 1/2 year old and surprisingly, I'm not sick of it yet! I'm so happy to say that Robert Munsch lives less than an hour from me!
Kids' Crazy Art Concoctions:
My daughter, nieces and I love making things from these books. They're so much fun and a lot of them make stuff from things you have around the house!
